APHS Student Spotlight: Jaione Murray

While at Asbury Park High School, Jaione was a cheerleader, softball pitcher, APHS Great Debaters captain, member of the Engineering Club, Senior Class Council president and Student Council vice president. As a member of Dream 12, she will graduate with an associate’s degree from Brookdale Community College at the same time he graduates high school. Jaione is currently ranked fifth in her class with a grade point average of 4.1. She applied to 15 universities including Monmouth, Howard, Spelman, Hampton and Montclair, and was accepted to all but waitlisted at Rutgers University. She is leaning toward attending Howard University and majoring in biology with a goal of becoming a dermatologist.
