APHS Student Spotlight: Joshua Handy
Joshua came to the Asbury Park School District in his freshman year as a member the Dream Academy, which will allow him to graduate with an associate’s degree from Brookdale Community College at the same time he graduates high school. During his time in high school, he has been a member of the football and wrestling teams and throws the shot put as part of the outdoor track team. Additionally, Josh is part of the APHS Great Debaters. He has grade point average of 3.3 and is ranked 33 in the Class of 2022. Joshua applied to 23 colleges and universities and was accepted to 21 of them, including New Jersey City University, West Virginia, Norfolk State University, Montclair State University and Kean University. He plans to attend Kean University and major in accounting and marketing.
